How did you get involved in CrossFit? I was a bootcamp client of Dave Michael at Lifetime fitness when he switched over to Kilter and dragged me along:)

What was your first WOD/experience? I honestly don’t remember but I loved the intensity and how much it pushed me. I thought I was fairly strong and in pretty good shape until I did my first WOD!

When did you start coming to CrossFit Kilter/ how long have you been CrossFitting for?

It will be 4 years in May

When did you realize that CrossFit was right for you?

After my first WOD. I loved the dynamics of the workout and seeing some really strong people and thinking, uh yeah, i want to do that. I have a bit of a competitive drive which keeps me coming back, even if it is just with my self.

What are you short-term and long-term CrossFit goals? Short-term: stringing more reps together during WODS without breaking. stretch/mobility Long-term: A bar muscle up? stretch/mobility

What is your biggest accomplishment?

My husband Dan and I have been together since we were 16. He works night shift and is on call for SWAT 24/7. We go many days with not much more than a high 5 in the door way, but we remain committed to each other and raising kind, loving kids even on the tough days.

What is your favorite / least favorite WOD/movement? Favorite Movements: Power cleans/Hang Power cleans & Toes to Bar Least Favorite Movement: HSPU & Rope climbs

What do you do for a profession outside of CrossFit?

A full time mom and wife and a part time Substitute teacher (my teaching degree is PE)

What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit?

Driving my 3 kids (15, 12,11) to all their events and sitting in bleachers being their biggest cheerleader and supporter. I totally “That Mom” in the stands:)

What do you do for nutrition? Do you eat Paleo or Zone? What is your favorite paleo/non-paleo meal?

As of most recent, I am counting macros. I love a good burger and ice cold coke.

Fun fact about you?

My senior year in college, I was the Western Illinois female intramural Pickleball champion!
