How did you get involved in CrossFit?My husband Travis has been doing crossfit for the past 4 years and he finally got me to try it out after I had our second daughter.
What was your first WOD/experience? Complete panic! I've been watching Travis at competitions and group workout for years and was so scared to literally fall on my face. My first class was with coach Kelley and although I was equally scared of her and the workout she was great and talked me through every fear.
When did you start coming to CrossFit Kilter/ how long have you been CrossFitting for? I first started crossfit/ Kilter in June 2017
When did you realize that CrossFit was right for you? Honestly I still question that almost every workout! But the coaches and people I workout with keep me coming back!
What are you short-term and long-term CrossFit goals? Short-term: get a strict pull up! Long-term: make it through an entire WOD Rx
What is your biggest accomplishment? Every time I surprise myself and get a lift or make it through a WOD better than I expected.
What is your favorite / least favorite WOD/movement? Favorite Movements: is there such a thing...running? Least Favorite Movement: thrusters
What do you do for a profession outside of CrossFit? Speech language pathologist for a subacute rehabilitation
What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit? Busy with our two little girls most days outside of that I love being outside and traveling when we can
What do you do for nutrition? Do you eat Paleo or Zone? What is your favorite paleo/non-paleo meal? I don't follow any specific diet but do try to stay as gluten free as possible
Fun fact about you? I played division 1 tennis at Marquette University.
