How did you get involved in CrossFit?I actually got involved in CrossFit bc of my husband, Kevin! He signed me up for a membership and I've been hooked ever since!

What was your first WOD/experience? I don't remember the exact WOD however, I do know that snatches were one of the movements. Those who WOD with me know that snatches and me don't care much for each other!

When did you start coming to CrossFit Kilter/ how long have you been CrossFitting for? I started CrossFit Kilter on July 11th, 2013. But I have been crossfitting since April 9th, 2012.

When did you realize that CrossFit was right for you? When I realized I could get a great workout in a short amount of time. I love that from one day to another I don't know what to expect. Some WODs are brutal but, I enjoy the challenge and going back for more! I thrive off the intensity of each WOD and how it's taken my fitness and body to the next level.

What are you short-term and long-term CrossFit goals?

Short-term: Competing in my first CrossFit competition, which will be held on November 14th at Kilter! I'm looking forward to the experience and challenge. One more thing I can mark off my " bucket list" for this year!

Long-term: A muscle-up!

What is your biggest accomplishment? Through CrossFit I've been able to find a better me. Pushing myself to higher limits than I ever thought possible.

What is your favorite / least favorite WOD/movement?

Favorite Movements: Call me crazy but..... Burpees!!!

Least Favorite Movement: Snatches and rowing!

What do you do for a profession outside of CrossFit? First and most importantly, a Mother to Mason and Easton! I'm very blessed and thankful I get the opportunity to stay home with them most days throughout the week. They are growing up so fast!! Secondly, two days a week I work as a waitress at Red School Cafe in Bristol, WI. Working on my 14th year!! And lastly, I recently took on a bookkeeping position for a company in Libertyville. The best part is, all my work is done in the comfort of our home... score!!!

What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit? In my spare time which isn't a lot, I enjoy reading (Currently favorite book is American Wife By: Taya Kyle), planting flowers, and diy projects for around the house.

What do you do for nutrition? Do you eat Paleo or Zone? What is your favorite paleo/non-paleo meal? Since August I've been more aware of what I put into my body. I watch my carbs, sugar, and dairy intake daily. Don't get me wrong, if I'm offered an oatmeal raisin cookie this girl is all over it!!!!!!

Fun fact about you? I was born in Panama City Beach, Florida. But when I was two years old my family moved to Alaska, where I spent most of my childhood growing up.
