SHOUTOUT to our December Member of the Month: 🏋 SHOUTOUT to our December Member of the Month: 🏋🏼 Jackie Lung 🏋🏼 1. When did your CrossFit journey begin? My first CrossFit class was in January 2023 at Kilter, and I became a member shortly after, in April. 2.What feels like your greatest accomplishment at kilter? I’d have to say that building personal discipline has been my biggest accomplishment. CrossFit is excellent at exposing your weaknesses. Coming into the gym ready to work on things you’re not good at—and continually improving until you master a skill or perfect a lift—is extremely motivating for me. This discipline has also translated into other areas of my life outside the gym, making my life better overall. My less serious answer? The friendships! 3. If you could give a new member advice, what would it be? My advice is to have fun! We’re all here to get a good sweat in and challenge ourselves. The challenge may look different for everyone in the room, but I can guarantee that by the end of the workout, we’ll all be in the same fetal position on the floor. Also, don’t hesitate to ask questions—everyone started where you are, and everyone is willing to help! 4. If you could design your favorite workout what would it be? Some of my favorite bits rolled into one. Cardio, legs and a heavy barbell. 5 rounds for time 10 Hang power clean 135/95 10 Bike Cals 5 Burpee box jump overs 10 Wallballs 5. Tell us one fun fact about yourself! I love to travel! I’ve been to 17 countries so far. Dan fought in the battle of Fallujah. He created this workout “The Fallujah 151” to honor the 151 men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
